A Lesson for Reiko

"Ah?"

Hyuga Reiko cried out in alarm, utterly panicked.

The instant Uchiha Yuu cast his genjutsu, she fell into a blood-red world. No matter which direction she went, she could not escape, and she was on the verge of breaking down.

"That scared me to death."

She looked at Uchiha Yuu with lingering fear, only to find him scrutinizing her. Remembering what had just happened, her face reddened as she said:

"Well, I just wanted to see if you were in your room. I really didn't see anything else."

When she came to Konoha Hospital, she heard people nearby say that a girl from Amegakure had been staying in Uchiha Yuu's room recently. Her curiosity overcame Yuu's earlier warning, and she activated her Byakugan to take a peek. Who knew he would notice her the moment she opened her eyes?

That genjutsu was terrifying. Good thing Yuu released it as soon as he realized it was me. I never want to experience that blood-red world again.

"You think I'd believe that, Reiko?"

"How many times have I told you? The Byakugan must not be used on your own people! If you still can't remember, then next time you get caught in a genjutsu, I'll make sure you suffer!"

If there had not been members of the Hyuga Branch Family nearby, Uchiha Yuu would have taught her a proper lesson.

"It's true. Cough, cough."

She awkwardly turned her head away, not daring to meet Uchiha Yuu's gaze. She was afraid he would throw her into a genjutsu the next second, and then she would spill everything. That would be mortifying.

"You can leave first. I can't possibly encounter danger in the camp. Go collect a mission from Lord Orochimaru."

"Yes, Lady Reiko."
