Uchiha Kyu used the war and a clash with Konoha’s leadership to bring the Uchiha and Hyuga Clans to power, defeat Minato Namikaze, and become Fifth Hokage. The arc ended with Kyu consolidating his administration as the Fourth Raikage advanced into the Land of Fire.

• Uchiha Kyu captured Hiruzen Sarutobi, sealed his chakra, and forced Minato Namikaze to declare Danzo an S-rank missing-nin while Hyuga Hiashi became Hokage aide.

As Obito remained at large and Konoha prepared to search Mount Myōboku for the Sage’s remains, the story left the invasion still underway.

• Uchiha Shisui broke through the capital’s walls, and Uchiha Kyu later seized the Nine-Tails from Kushina Uzumaki and sealed it inside himself.
• Uchiha Kyu sent Konoha forces to attack several nations, led the assault on Amegakure, and defeated Nagato while Uchiha Obito escaped with the Rinnegan.
