Political Position

The Land of Rivers exists in the shadow of the Land of Fire, Land of Wind, and Land of Rain. Though its territory is not small, it lacks the military power to determine its own security policy. 7

Hidden Sand’s Invasion

Hidden Sand opens its campaign by attacking Konoha outposts throughout the Land of Rivers. Its forces are divided into three groups: Rasa leads the four-thousand-ninja main army from the north, while Maki and Yekura each command one-thousand-ninja diversionary forces. 8

Konoha’s command headquarters in the country receives reports of simultaneous attacks on the western outpost and Rock Turtle Pass, confirming that Hidden Sand has launched a multi-route offensive rather than isolated border raids. 9

• Konoha places all positions, checkpoints, strongholds, and supply lines in the Land of Rivers on maximum alert. 9

• Baiyun Zaojian orders a coordinated assault on the valley while assigning Uchiha Lan to destroy Chahachiro’s puppeteer unit at Gale-Splitting Gorge. 40
