Otsutsuki Hagoromo had no doubts. In that fleeting instant of perception, he had indeed discovered that the creature Uchiha Jobu had imprisoned in another dimension was a product of exceptionally pure Yin–Yang Release chakra.

Aside from Otsutsuki Kaguya, the Ancestor of Chakra from a thousand years ago—and Hagoromo's own mother—he had yet to discover anyone in the Ninja World who could control such pure Yin–Yang Release chakra.

In truth, there had been a second person, and even a third. But that had been earlier still, before everything began, when Otsutsuki Kaguya had only just descended upon the Ninja World and had yet to plant the Divine Tree.

He was an Otsutsuki clansman even stronger than Kaguya, with status and standing far above hers. Unfortunately, he had fallen to her sneak attack.

Uchiha Jobu continued, "When you defeated her a thousand years ago, Otsutsuki Kaguya left a contingency behind. That contingency was Black Zetsu, whom both of you brothers overlooked. So while you split up over your conflicting ideals, one living on the moon and the other on the ground, Black Zetsu had already begun operating in the Ninja World."

"It was only recently that Black Zetsu approached me about working together. He was also the one who told me about reviving the Ten-Tails. I want the Ten-Tails' power, while he wants me to become its host and then break the seal you brothers left on the moon."

Otsutsuki Hagoromo's expression darkened. "Reviving the Ten-Tails is absolutely out of the question."

"Then there's nothing to discuss, is there?"

"You can give up on reviving the Ten-Tails. I will allow you to rule the Ninja World and tell you how to become a sage-level powerhouse."

"That's hilarious. Am I not
