It was the largest desert in the world, stretching for thousands of miles without a single inhabitant. There could be no better battlefield.
Uchiha Madara had arrived by plane. Just as he got there, he saw dust rising in the distance. Two seconds later, the cloud was right in front of him, kicked up by Saitama running on his own two legs.
With no money for transportation and no authority to use a Hero Association plane, Saitama had run all the way from the city where he lived to this deserted wasteland.
Madara's face darkened. "You ran here?"
"Yeah. I'm not late, am I?"
Saitama nodded as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He saw nothing strange about running there.
"Forget it. Let's begin."
Madara could barely contain himself. An eerie red light flared in his fearsome eyes, and his overwhelming presence swept across the desert. Killing intent honed by untold slaughter slashed outward like a blade. He felt less like a man than a beast in human form.
Saitama shook his head. "Not yet. Genos isn't here."
As soon as Saitama spoke, Uchiha Jobu and Imu both looked up toward Genos, who was flying in from above. Compared with Saitama's arrival on foot, Genos had him beaten countless times over in both style and sheer coolness.
So why was the bald guy the protagonist? And the strongest one, at that?
Genos really was handsome. He had earned his nickname, the "Budget Warrior." He retracted his flight gear, tucked his legs in midair, spun down to the ground, then sprang up and walked toward Saitama.
The flight gear mounted on his body made him faster than a fighter jet. The wind in his wake only just reached the others' faces after he landed.
