The man they called boss rubbed his hands together in excitement, and just as he prepared to walk over, he heard the words of his underling.
"Oh man, she's huge, Boss, should we just hehe?"
Seeing his underling's lust flare up and hearing him speak such crude words without a shred of tact, the boss suddenly felt a chill run through him.
Just then, whether she had heard them or not, the girl standing beside the big fat sheep by the gaming table looked over with an icy expression, and the chill in those eyes made the boss's hair stand on end.
He decisively turned around, grabbed the lecherous underling, and dealt him a series of fierce, echoing slaps across the face before shouting furiously, "You goddamned fool, what kind of rubbish are you spouting? I told you to drink less rotgut!"
The underling was left dizzy and disoriented by the beating. Only when the boss secretly noticed that the girl had turned her head back did he summon a bit more courage, leaning in close to the underling to hiss a low warning, "Are you out of your damn mind? Do you even know who the big fat sheep is?!"
The underling genuinely did not know the big fat sheep's identity and hurriedly shook his head.
The boss said with a mysterious air, "Don't go running your mouth about this. I only heard it from the husband of the younger sister of the younger brother of my second brother. The big fat sheep is named Tsunade, and she's a shinobi! If you dare lay a hand on her, the grass on your grave would already be three feet high!"
The beaten underling shivered so hard he nearly pissed himself. With a mournful expression, he covered his mouth in terror. "Boss, the stuff I just said... the big fat sheep didn't hear it, did she?"
The boss's mouth twitched. Don't you think it's a little late to be scared now? He pointed toward the door, offering his underling a way out. "I don't know, but you still have time to run."
The underling no longer cared about making money off the big fat sheep. With a whoosh, he bolted out the door and vanished without a trace.
Seeing that his underling had run off, the boss finally led the remaining men over to the gaming table where the big fat sheep stood.
As it happened, the big fat sheep had just finished a round and was in the middle of placing her bets. His eyes lit up, and he gazed at her with a burning, heated focus as he waited for her to lay down her wager.
"Ugh, how did I lose again?"
Tsunade wore an annoyed expression.
Shizune, standing beside her, felt a slight twitch at the corner of her mouth. Well, great, another million ryō down the drain!
Seeing Lady Tsunade reach her demonic claws toward the box at her side, she hurriedly clutched the box to her chest. Confronted by Lady Tsunade's uncomprehending gaze, she blurted out, "Lady Tsunade! This is all the money we have left! We still need to pay for an inn and food later!
"Lady Tsunade, you don't want to end up starving on the streets later, do you?!"
"Don't worry, Shizune, I have a feeling we're definitely going to win this hand! We're going to make a killing!"
Tsunade said with absolute confidence.
Shizune didn't believe it for a second. How many times had Lady Tsunade said those exact words? It wasn't the first time, and every single time she said that, she wound up losing every last coin!
Shizune shook her head frantically, refusing to hand over the box.
Tsunade didn't care about any of that. She was riding a high right now, and nothing anyone said would matter. Seeing that Shizune wouldn't agree, she simply reached out to grab it. Shizune was no match for her guard, and Tsunade snatched the box right out of her arms.
"Hand that over!"
Tsunade snapped the box open, swiftly pulled out the remaining bills, and tossed them onto the table with an air of grand extravagance.
Seeing that the big fat sheep had placed her bets, many of the schemers at the gaming table brightened and hurriedly pulled out their own cash to bet against Tsunade.
Throughout the night, riding on this exact strategy, they had managed to bleed Tsunade of a considerable amount of silver.
Everyone was holstering and shouting, beaming with joy and grinning from ear to ear, acting as though they had already won the bet before the dice were even rolled.
Several other gamblers who had just arrived upon hearing the gossip eagerly pulled out all their wealth to place their wagers, without a single exception betting against Tsunade.
Seeing this, Shizune massaged her throbbing temples, wondering what they were going to do once they ran out of money. She certainly didn't want to sleep on the streets.
Tsunade looked displeased as well. Her light-yellow, delicately-curved eyebrows were slightly knitted, her pale-red lips lightly pursed, and her fair cheeks flushed pink from the alcohol she had just consumed.
At the sight of this alluring scene, more than a few gamblers involuntarily gulped.
Shizune frowned slightly, but Tsunade paid it no mind. She slammed her hands onto the table, cursing and swearing, "Dealer, dealer, hurry up and roll! I'm going to make these bastards lose everything! I'll make all of you regret this!"
Faced with Tsunade's urging, the dealer also beamed and shouted loudly, "Come on, come on! Place your bets, bets are closed!"
Seeing that the dealer was about to lift the cup, Tsunade's alcohol-clouded eyes locked onto the dice without blinking.
Before the dice were revealed, Shizune already braced herself for the outcome, a bitter expression on her face as she began gathering their belongings, such as the outer coat Lady Tsunade had discarded.
The other gamblers all wore relaxed expressions, as though victory was already theirs.
Only Tsunade stared unblinkingly. She genuinely had a strong premonition that she would win this time.
The instant the dice cup was lifted, Tsunade screamed in excitement. "Haha! I won! I won!"
The dealer was stunned upon seeing the result, then coughed and announced the outcome. "Five sixes, leopard! The house takes all!"
The house he referred to was, of course, Tsunade.
The moment that result was announced, virtually everyone wore an expression of sheer disbelief.
Shizune, who had been in the middle of packing, jerked her head up with a blank, bewildered expression, assuming she had misheard.
Lady Tsunade won her bet? How was that possible?
Yet no matter how hard she rubbed her eyes, that result refused to change.
Five of a kind, the house takes all—Lady Tsunade had made a fortune on this single hand! Not only did she win back the twenty million lost over the course of the afternoon, but she made a net profit of thirty million.
"Hahaha."
Tsunade stood triumphant, one foot propped up on a chair, her hands on her hips as she laughed heartily.
She felt like she had never been this exhilarated before.
Sweeping up the money from the table like a storm, Tsunade stuffed it all into the box. She cast a cold glare at the dazed gamblers, feeling like she had finally vented her pent-up frustration.
"Shizune, let's go!"
With that, Tsunade happily clutched the money box and called out to Shizuka, paying no mind to the weeping and wailing behind her.
After stepping out of the gambling house, a gust of cool wind made Tsunade suddenly quiet down, while the previously gloomy Shizune cheerfully chattered away.
"Oh my, Lady Tsunade, it's just like a dream~
I honestly never thought Lady Tsunade would actually win, haha~
Oh my, so much money! Now we can find a luxury inn and eat some delicious food."
Suddenly, Shizune noticed that something seemed a bit off about Lady Tsunade. She stole a few glances, muttering inwardly, Lady Tsunade finally won for once, so why isn't she as happy as I imagined?
Shizune found it very strange.
Tsunade found it strange too, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She just felt a dull tightness in her chest, as if something bad was about to happen.
She touched her chest and let out a faint sigh. I hope I'm just overthinking things.

Takuya walked with practiced ease to a specific spot, moved away the seventh tatami mat counting from the right, and entered the underground secret chamber.
