Durandal's Doubts

"I will not do something as absurd as sending troops to attack those people whose names were announced the other day."

Durandal on the wall of screens continued his eloquent speech. Gibril glared at the image.

"What is meant by subjugating LOGOS is not that sort of thing—I sincerely wish to end this war, to end the warped system of war created single-handedly by those people!"

Where did all this hypocritical rhetoric come from? He broadcast that kind of footage to the entire world, yet claimed he had "no intention of taking action."

"Why do you all believe that Coordinators are mistaken and dangerous beings, or monsters incapable of communication... Please think carefully—who was it that first began saying such things...?"

The television switched to another image, probably footage they had found at the research facility.

Scene after scene of human experimentation unfolded before the camera. There were also shots of the interior of the facility after the riot, when it had been abandoned—especially the nearly decomposed corpses of young children. It was clear that the children had slaughtered one another or cried out in agony inside test tubes.

Durandal cried indignantly, "In my view, LOGOS, which can calmly commit such acts, are the true monsters!"

Listening to Durandal's grand speech, Gibril ground his teeth in fury.

Wasn't all of this your doing?!
