Freedom Gundam and Savior Gundam arrived at Main Angel's hangar.

After disembarking from their MS, they saw Lacus in her pink pilot suit, her gentle smile ever present.

And beside Lacus stood Flay Alster, dressed in a United command uniform.

"Athrun, Kira."

Her long pink hair swayed as Lacus turned back with a smile.

At that moment, Flay stepped up to stand beside Lacus.

"Let's leave the catching up for later. We should deal with the problem in front of us first."

Lacus smiled gracefully and pointed to the two MS in the distance, which the support crew had finished preparing.

"Is that... Freedom?"

Seeing the familiar appearance of the machine, Kira looked at Lacus with hesitation, his eyes filled with confusion.

"Yes, ZGMF-X20A Freedom Strike."

Lacus nodded with a smile, then pointed to the other machine. "ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice. These are the machines meant for you and Athrun."

"But..."

Kira murmured, unable to stop himself from asking, "Why?"

Ever since Main Angel had contacted him and told him to return to collect his machine, Kira had been full of doubts.

Freedom Strike? Infinite Justice.

He could infer some of it from the names alone. These two MS were clearly enhanced versions of Justice Gundam and Freedom Gundam.

But why?

Why was Lacus giving them these machines?

More importantly, when had Lacus prepared them?

And for what purpose had she begun preparing them?

Amid all those doubts, Kira looked at Lacus with utter confusion and incomprehension.

"Using power without purpose will only create more tragedies. But having ideals without the strength to carry them through is also a tragedy. Both principles and power are indispensable."
