"For a world of azure and purity—"
"Let me play this first Requiem for the people of the world—"
Inside the Dedalus Lunar Base, Freeman Byron murmured as he forcefully pulled the trigger.
Countless people might die because of him next, but for the future of Naturals, it was all worth it.
The cannon port at the center of the base opened in response.
The long-accumulated torrent of light surged forth, shooting into the sky in an instant and plunging into the cylinder of the First Relay Point.
The beam then burst out from the space station, only to turn in an entirely different direction.
"What a pity—"
Inside the warship that had already withdrawn, Matisse quietly muttered as he watched the distant scene.
At the same time, the warship carried its soldiers away toward the distant stars.
The twisted glow of the beam was especially blinding in the pitch-black universe.
Guno Relay Point.
Noer swung his massive Beam Sword, bringing it down directly upon the relay point.
The unit turned, sweeping the Beam Sword forcefully to the side.
At that very moment, Noer spotted a light flaring up in the distance.
"Everyone, evade—!"
Yzak noticed the distant light. He had barely managed to shout when the blinding radiance tore through the darkness.
The light spread out in an instant, looking as though it were about to swallow them whole.
"Noer!"
Diakka's cry rang against their eardrums. The light then brushed past them and was drawn into that abandoned space station.
The surging energy bleached the surrounding space white, changing course dramatically as it passed through the station.
Yzak almost doubted his own eyes.
The beam turned? A beam of that magnitude could actually turn?
Even in space, energy beams traveled in straight lines, yet this one had changed direction.
