"What do we do next?"
After confirming that Noer was no longer in mortal danger, Diakka contacted Yzak.
Yzak did not answer.
He merely raised his eyes and glared at the wreckage of the space station ahead.
What was real, and what was false? Yzak truly could not tell.
When he had seen the two Lacus Clynes on television, Yzak had still been doubtful, unsure whether what he had once believed was right or wrong. But now, faced with this one-sided slaughter, all his hesitation vanished without a trace.
It did not matter whether it was Lacus or someone else.
The enemy had made itself clear. The war had not ended.
The Eternal Covenant, dormant for so long, slowly started its engines at that moment.
"Noer? Where are you going?"
Watching the Eternal Covenant restart, Yzak could not help but ask.
"To do what I want to do."
Noer answered flatly.
Blood-red sclera surrounded his golden pupils, and his lifeless eyes stared toward the lonely planet in the distance.
At that moment, the Eternal Covenant unfurled its wings of light and broke away from the formation.
He did not know what meaning there was in what he was doing.
The regret in his heart made the fury within him impossible to suppress, yet his mind was strangely calm.
Fate? Worldline correction?
If everything remains the same, then what was the point of me coming here—
From now on, anyone who tries to stand in my way will die, no matter who they are.
Whether it is the Lunar Base or Messiah.
Those who stand in my way will die. Those who block me will be cut down!
"That guy—"
Yzak watched the Eternal Covenant's departing figure and frowned to himself.
Something was wrong with him.
"What do we do now?"
