Durandal handed the finished report to his secretary before turning to the generals with a question. "How are things at Daidalus Base?"
The base was currently being guarded and monitored solely by Minerva.
Requiem's self-destruction at the last moment had severely damaged its main body.
Of course, that had also made the takeover of Daidalus Base proceed very smoothly.
"A research team has already been sent to assess the damage, but because it was a self-destruction, many key facilities have suffered severe damage."
The secretary hurriedly replied.
"What are the chances of repairing it?"
Durandal continued questioning him.
He had never expected Requiem to self-destruct. The original plan had been to seize it by force and replace its operators, but the other side had simply blown it up.
"According to the Requiem data sent back by Intelligence, repairs will be troublesome, but not impossible."
The secretary hurriedly replied.
There was, however, one thing the secretary had not mentioned.
The personnel sent to inspect Requiem had discovered that it seemed not to have completely self-destructed. Or rather, judging by Requiem's original self-destruction protocol—
Requiem should have been blasted into scraps, at the very least no less thoroughly destroyed than Cyclops had been.
Yet for some reason, Requiem's self-destruction had not rendered it completely beyond repair.
"Roughly how long before it can be put back into operation?"
Durandal cared deeply about Requiem.
Had Matisse not existed, his need for Requiem might not have been so great. But Matisse had quietly towed Genesis α away.
Based on the final data returned during the middle of the war, Genesis α should already have been successfully modified.
Thus, unless absolutely necessary, Durandal had no intention of revealing his trump card first.
