Headquarters had ordered them to deploy and help defend Relay Station One, which was under attack. The message also stated that the Eternal and the Archangel were responsible for the assault.
Diakka shrugged and tried to reason with him. "...Come on, it's only natural they didn't contact us. We are on ZAFT's side, after all."
"I know!"
Yzak snapped back fiercely.
Diakka had hit the reason for his anger right on the mark, which only made him more embarrassed and furious.
That was right. What angered him was not the fact that they had launched an attack.
It was the way they had shut everyone else out.
Athrun, Noer—those two idiots were just—he couldn't stand them! Why was everyone so damn selfish?
They rebelled whenever they felt like it, left whenever they felt like it, died whenever they felt like it, and came back to life whenever they felt like it.
Had they ever considered how he felt about it?
Yzak should have been shocked by the Eternal's and Archangel's attack, but after witnessing Arzachel's destruction by Requiem with his own eyes, he had known they would definitely come after the relay station.
Honestly, he thought the Chairman had gone completely insane to bring out Requiem at a time like this.
Was there even any need for it? The Alliance's forces had clearly fallen apart. They barely had any combat power left capable of opposing ZAFT.
Inflicting the greatest damage upon the enemy with the least sacrifice on one's own side—that was the proper strategic course of action.
But Yzak had already witnessed the consequences such a move could bring, firsthand, in the mire at the end of the previous war.
The Chairman had declared that
