Yu Xiaogang, the Loser, Became a Human Cushion in Prison and Was Punished with Cleaning Toilets—So Miserable
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Yu Xiaogang struggled to straighten his not-so-broad chest, trying to make his voice sound more confident. His lips trembled slightly, yet he still forced himself to look tough, glaring as he said, "You dare make me a human cushion? Do you know who I, Yu Xiaogang, am? I was once the Imperial Preceptor of the Tiandou Empire, understand?"
Yet rather than intimidating the other prisoners as he had hoped, his words triggered a burst of laughter.
The prisoners acted as though they had heard an extremely hilarious joke, laughing so hard that they doubled over. Some even laughed until tears streamed down their faces.
Amid the laughter, one prisoner pointed at Yu Xiaogang's pathetic face and shouted, "Everyone, look! He says he used to be the Imperial Preceptor of the Tiandou Empire! Hahaha! Just look at that pathetic face of his, and that stupid crew cut. This is killing me!" As he spoke, he reached out and lightly patted Yu Xiaogang's crew cut.
Humiliation surged through Yu Xiaogang. His face instantly reddened, as though someone had slapped him in public. He glared furiously and roared, "Don't touch me with your filthy hands!"
However, his roar had no effect. Instead, it made the atmosphere in the cell even tenser. Seeing this, another prisoner suddenly kicked Yu Xiaogang hard in the ass from behind and shouted, "Screw your Imperial Preceptor! In here, you're nothing but a fart..."
The sudden kick sent Yu Xiaogang staggering. He lost his balance and nearly fell headfirst onto the slick floor. His eyes widened in fury, his cheeks flushed red with agitation. He bellowed, his voice echoing through the cell and shaking dust loose from above, "You pieces of trash, do you really think I, Yu Xiaogang, can't deal with you? Sanpao..."
His words were filled with anger and indignation, as though he wanted to vent every bit of humiliation he had endured. He stomped his foot, intending to unleash his soul skill and show these prisoners what he was capable of. But he quickly discovered that the soul power within him had been depleted too severely. He could not use any soul skill at all.
This realization made Yu Xiaogang even angrier and more desperate. He felt that his dignity had been ruthlessly trampled underfoot, leaving him powerless to resist. His body trembled, not from fear, but from rage and humiliation.
Just then, the burly, powerfully built head jailer approached with a savage grin. His footsteps were heavy and forceful, each one seeming to stamp directly on Yu Xiaogang's heart.
Yu Xiaogang trembled all over in fright. He backed away several steps, his voice quivering slightly. "What do you want? Haven't you heard of my reputation? I'm the renowned Master of the soul master world, and also the Imperial Preceptor of the Tiandou Empire..."
He tried to use his status to intimidate the man, but before he could finish, the head jailer slapped him to the ground.
"Screw your Master..."
The head jailer grinned viciously and crouched down. The motion looked rather ridiculous with his hulking build, but the expression on his face was anything but funny. He looked as ferocious as a tiger about to pounce on its prey.
He extended a fan-sized hand and grabbed Yu Xiaogang by the collar. That hand was like an iron clamp, tightly gripping the fabric—and Yu Xiaogang's fate along with it.
Yu Xiaogang felt the world spin around him. He struggled, kicking wildly with both feet, but could not break free from the head jailer's grip. His eyes were wide with terror and despair, the two emotions intertwining into a miserable sight.
Seeing Yu Xiaogang's terrified expression, the head jailer curled his lips into a cruel smile, as if he enjoyed having another person's life under his control. He slowly said in a hoarse, low voice, "With you being this pathetic, you still call yourself a Master? You're more like a clown!"
Suspended in the air, Yu Xiaogang had completely lost his usual bearing and dignity. Looking at the head jailer's ferocious face, the fear in his heart grew without limit, as though he were staring at the shadow of a demon. His legs flailed in the air, trying to find something to brace against, but it was useless.
"Brother, brother, spare me. I know I was wrong, I know I was wrong..."
Yu Xiaogang's voice was weak and trembling, thick with sobs and pleading. At this moment, he had completely cast aside his pride and dignity. All he wanted was to stay alive.
The burly head jailer looked at Yu Xiaogang's miserable state, and a wave of satisfaction rose in his heart. He gave a sinister chuckle, then suddenly exerted force and slammed Yu Xiaogang heavily onto the ground.
"Get over here and be my human cushion." The head jailer's voice was cold and merciless, as though he were looking at someone already dead.
The throw left Yu Xiaogang dazed and disoriented. He felt as if every bone in his body were about to come apart. He lay sprawled on the ground, unable to move for a long while, but the head jailer's command pierced his heart like a needle, forcing him to struggle to his feet.
Trembling, he crawled over to the head jailer and lay down like an old dog. His heart was filled with humiliation and anger, but even more than that, fear and helplessness. He knew that his fate was now entirely in this man's hands.
Looking at Yu Xiaogang's lowly posture, the head jailer felt a surge of delight. He chuckled, then plopped down onto Yu Xiaogang's back.
Yu Xiaogang felt a sharp pain shoot through his back, as though every bone in his body had been crushed. His eyes bulged on the spot, and he felt like he was about to be crushed unconscious. Yet a faint hope remained in his heart: that his personal disciple, Tang San, would come to save him.
"Little San, Little San, come save your master. Come save your master..."
Yu Xiaogang's voice was weak and trembling, like a cry coming from the depths of hell. His eyes were filled with pleading and despair.
But just then, the head jailer suddenly patted his crew cut. The blow was so heavy that Yu Xiaogang's head spun.
"Hey, Xiaogang, what are you muttering about? Who's Little San?"
The head jailer's voice rang beside Yu Xiaogang's ear, deafening like thunder.
Yu Xiaogang shuddered all over. Fear surged through his heart like a flood of beasts. He hurriedly raised his head to look at the head jailer. That ferocious face now seemed as terrifying as a demon in his eyes.
He swallowed hard and tried to make his voice sound calmer. "N-No, nothing. Little San is my dog. I just miss it, that's all..."
As Yu Xiaogang spoke, his heart was filled with bitterness and helplessness. His former pride and self-respect had already been trampled to pieces.
He did not dare imagine what Tang San would think if he truly appeared here and saw him in such a state.
The head jailer chuckled, as if he had heard something amusing. He stretched out his fan-sized hand and patted Yu Xiaogang's face. The force was so great that Yu Xiaogang felt a burning pain.
"Serve us well, and you'll naturally be allowed to stay until you get out."
Yu Xiaogang's heart sank. He knew that he would likely have to spend a long and painful time here. Still, he nodded, his voice weak and trembling. "Yes, yes. I'll serve all of you gentlemen well..."
Just then, the head jailer suddenly stood and pointed at the cell's toilet. It was a crude stone structure that gave off waves of foul stench, enough to make anyone retch.
"All right, Xiaogang. Go over there now and clean the toilet." The head jailer's voice was cold and heartless, as though he were looking at someone already dead.
