Despite the thick smog that had risen in the sky, it had little effect on the mortals who had long since grown used to it. Life went on, and money still had to be made. Many merely glanced instinctively at the sky before getting back to work. Magic City was an international metropolis with a fast pace of life, and no one paid much attention to that fleeting change.

The Celestial Realm had also returned to peace, but beneath that calm lurked undercurrents of unimaginable magnitude.

The venue was quiet. When the Heavenly Demon appeared and Chi-Mei-Wang-Liang erupted, the surrounding space had already been sealed off, turning this place into an eerie pocket isolated from the world. Everything here seemed frozen, with no passage of time.

Qin Fen looked around and finally breathed a sigh of relief. Chi-Mei-Wang-Liang seemed to have been dealt with, and the Heavenly Demon had left. Yet whenever his gaze passed over his sister-in-law, Big Chef felt a strange unease. Why had that last True Spirit rushed into her body? He had no idea whether this change was good or bad.

Seemingly sensing what Qin Fen was thinking, the Queen Mother walked gently over, patted his shoulder, and offered some comfort. "It's all over now. Although we don't know what changed, it doesn't seem to be anything bad. At least Chi-Mei-Wang-Liang hasn't appeared. That's a good thing!"

"You're right. We'll take it one step at a time!" Qin Fen nodded. He was an optimist by nature. Since he couldn't figure it out now, he would simply go looking for answers. The Queen Mother might not understand, but surely Lord Lao would know!

Qin Fen made up his mind. Once the competition was over, he would find an opportunity to take his sister-in-law to the Celestial Realm.
