After the first clash, the Immortal-God Alliance quickly changed tactics. Slightly fewer than half its Immortal Warships pulled back to create some distance, while all the ships spread apart. No longer densely packed in overlapping layers, they now had room to evade and maneuver.
The larger portion, some three or four hundred Immortal Warships, either remained where they were or withdrew to gain distance. Six Heaven-Grade Immortal Battleships led nearly a hundred Immortal Warships of various grades onward, still relying primarily on pillars of light unleashed at full power as they advanced aggressively.
From the larger portion of Immortal Warships that had remained behind, densely packed cultivators poured out like bees swarming from their hives, surging toward the Great Huan Faction.
The Great Huan Faction's strategy was somewhat similar to the Immortal-God Alliance's.
Their formation still centered on the Tribulation Purple Lotus, with five Origin-Grade Immortal Warships guarding it from five directions and three Heaven-Grade Immortal Battleships reinforcing the defensive line at the three points of a triangular pyramid. This main formation remained unchanged.
The countless groups, large and small, spread out into roughly three layers.
The Ravenous Wolf Guards, Righteous Valor War Cavalry, Formation-Breaking Iron Guard, and other elite special troop types, along with the Retinue Guard, remained in the core area. They protected that area and the commanding generals, serving as the final line of defense.
