The Calamity Dynasty, with Calamity God Emperor Arthas as its supreme commander, had been assigned an Origin-Grade Immortal Warship. Other Hero Civilization powers, including the Radiant Divine Kingdom, the Divine Tomb Empire, and the Hell Dynasty, supported it, forming a formidable host.
However, because of the Hero Civilization's characteristics, its casualties had also been the heaviest among Great Huan's forces. Nearly half of those who had survived this far were mutated beings and heroes; even the weakest were advanced troop types!
It was worth noting that the Hero Civilization had originally been immensely powerful within the Pangu World, ranking among the top three of its many civilizations. Yet as the Pangu World's grade soared, granting its living beings tremendous fortune and improvements, the Hero Civilization exposed a glaring weakness: its lack of further growth. It simply could not keep pace with the strengthening of Pangu's living beings.
The reason was easy to understand. The Hero Civilization's ability to produce troops defied the heavens, rivaling the Atlantis Civilization, which could manufacture soldiers endlessly as long as it had resources, while requiring far fewer resources itself. It therefore far surpassed other civilizations, including the China Civilization. Had the China Civilization not possessed such an enormous population base, even its overall strength would likely have fallen short of the Hero Civilization's.
However, civilizations with heaven-defying troop production suffered considerable limitations, and the stronger that ability was, the greater those limitations became. The Atlantis Civilization could still forge loose immortal-level god-king warriors, true immortal-level divine emperor warriors, and so on. The Hero Civilization, however, could only create ninth-tier troops whose strongest members rivaled the Innate Realm. Reaching the loose immortal level or above required mutated troops or heroes, with odds of only one in hundreds of millions-about the same as winning the lottery.
