The people of Toril in the hall calmly watched the battle ahead, turning a deaf ear to the horrifying sounds of devouring and wailing beyond the doors... Whatever that thing was, it had to finish eating before it came out, right?
Apparently, the monster they had encountered this time did not have such a big mouth, so it ate a little more slowly.
That meant they still had time to enjoy the show.
Whether or not these visitors from Quesenta had other backing, they all appeared remarkably relaxed now... A man-eating demon would not care who the little grunts beneath its feet followed.
So, regardless of whether they had known from the start what they might encounter, none of them showed any despair.
In their hearts, even if the Undead failed to hold the line and they were all wiped out in the end, they would not be pathetic souls struggling in agony as they waited to be trampled into the mud.
Especially those who had long known what they had come here for... Once one became involved in the Path of Fate, whether it was a so-called side quest or not, there was always a chance of facing a grand spectacle.
They were already fortunate enough. The Undead still flooding into the hall gave them ample confidence... At the very least, they would certainly have enough time to send themselves to the River Styx first... To die with dignity was already a good ending.
The people of Toril did not care about anything they heard, but many of the Undead, especially the girls who understood what was happening, looked grim.
Being knowledgeable and imaginative was not a good thing at a time like this... It would have been better to watch that thing eat people with their own eyes!
