He did not know what trait of the Balor Demons these Tieflings wanted, but he knew perfectly well they meant him harm.

Even demons found warlocks unsettling. To get what they wanted, those lunatics would tamper with their own souls.

The red-haired ape's fury was plain to see. The Undead could not get another step closer to the door, so they stood in the hall and listened, hoping the two inside would talk instead of just fighting.

What kind of fight had no threats? A battle without trash talk had no soul!

The dark red glow around Old Habel was growing deeper. The Demon Lord probably had not decided how to deal with the threat Asmodeus posed.

He was not necessarily afraid of that Tiefling warlock. But the other side had spent centuries planning this, while he did not even know what else the Tieflings had up their sleeves. Of course he had to be careful.

After thinking long and hard about what made his bloodline unique, the Demon Lord could reach only one conclusion: no matter what creature a Balgura bred with, its offspring would always be Balgura.

Tieflings were different. They, especially Tiefling women, were excellent at carrying on bloodlines and could readily bear children for powerful beings. More than eighty percent of those children, however, inherited their fathers' bloodlines completely.

Of the remaining twenty percent, the children only partly resembled their mothers. Often just one of the Tieflings' defining traits—the horns, hooves, or tail—was passed down.

Since the fall of the Tiefling Empire, powerful beings in the Abyss and Hell had captured nearly all the Tiefling women.

Even humans and Elves liked using them to study strange bloodlines. Crossbreeding them with animals barely counted as one
