This detachable armor, which people on Toril considered impractical and nothing more than a gnomish money-making scam, proved quite useful against these immensely strong crocodiles, whose bites caused incessant bleeding and transmitted lycanthropy.

Of course, lycanthropy, an aftereffect people on Toril avoided like the plague, was something the Undead could not catch even if they wanted to... they were not made of flesh and blood.

Although Sebek was very strong and had a powerful bite, he really could not compare to that enormous blue bear.

His strength was only about equal to that of the two primordial white dragons. Their armor could withstand it perfectly well.

The Undead were not really that gullible. If the gnomes dared advertise their armor as dragon-resistant, they would naturally bring dragons along to test it when they accepted delivery.
