Then he, too, looked toward the fireworks still bursting over Luo Lake. "They're beautiful, but Midnight can't see them.

"I'm not going to bring her here while she's asleep and watch the spectacle alone."

Edna's mouth twitched. "Then hurry up and take her home!

"Get Midnight settled first.

"Once Amaunator can't hold out any longer and asks Toril for help, even Jergal won't be able to stay out of it, whether he wants to or not.

"At the very least, you'll have to show your faces."

Kelemvor looked at Edna and gathered his words of thanks. Just as he was about to speak, a woman's voice rang out behind him. "Could you hurry up and leave?

"Edna has important things to do!

"Why are you wasting time?"

The soul fire in Kelemvor's eyes flickered... Of course he knew which mortal would dare do something so outrageous while two beings of Greater Divine Power were speaking.
