"The name Oasis... proves that not every city in this world is as lucky as the one below us, sitting right beside the sea." Hill sorted the materials at his feet. "It must have a vast interior, much of it desert.

"That's why an oasis is considered so vital to human life.

"I'll need to make more Purewater Pearls. Luckily, they're low-level items. Any mage can make them."

"Don't they still need water in the air?" Purvi asked unhappily. "I may not be a living whale anymore, but... I still can't bring myself to like a world like this."

"Which is why I need to make plenty while we're here by the sea!" Hill touched his pendant. At last, he understood why even high-level Water Condensation Pearls were forbidden. Anything that drew in water too effectively could harm a desert already short of it.

"Can you still reach the Elemental Realm?" Purvi thought of Hill's usual source of abundant water.

"I can." Hill shook his head gently. "But it's very slow, and it takes nearly ten times as much mana as before."

He glanced at his finger. "I think I know why the one in charge was willing to let me in. Winter's Ring wasn't sealed..."

"It wasn't? Then... can you use it?" Purvi knew water-aligned treasures well. "There's hardly any moisture in the air. It'll be hard for Winter's Ring to create a cold snap, won't it?"
