Lucimar loved sitting by the window and watching the Undead.
They really did live such happy lives.
Endless yellow sands, endless windblown dust.
And fine sand that landed on their heads and faces, impossible to wipe clean.
Yet none of it could draw the slightest complaint from these people who had traveled far from the bustling, peaceful, verdant Kane Valley.
Even after three days in the desert, they were still brimming with enthusiasm.
The only two uproars had both been caused by their guide going the wrong way.
Lucimar found that hard to understand, too.
After all, their guide was a spellcaster, and one with an innate Wayfinding Spell at that... when Lucimar first heard about a class that could never get lost anywhere, even in a maze below Legendary level, he had been rather envious.
In Oaisis World, with its mineral deposits everywhere and its enormous mines, being able to navigate a mine's crisscrossing tunnels without getting lost was practically the finest gift the heavens could bestow.
Yet an Undead with that class could actually get lost in a desert where they could see the sun, moon, and stars overhead and feel which way the wind blew... Lucimar truly didn't know what to make of it.
He did know that the Undead weren't exactly familiar with their own classes, but... wasn't this an innate ability?
Could someone even use an innate ability wrong?
Yet when he turned his head, he saw a look on Lady Ruth's face that said, "This is perfectly normal." Unable to contain his confusion, Lucimar asked softly, "May I ask, this class... is it simply that the Undead aren't very proficient with it, or is the class itself..."
