Linde blinked too, then sighed softly. "Mr. Lu Huayu really is capable~"
The regret in his voice instantly told 'Xue Yunfeng' what the young master was really lamenting: Chief Steward Lu was too capable, and had done more than enough underhanded things to leave an up-and-comer like him no room to shine.
He had planned to take advantage of this period, when his stunted growth left him looking like a boy even after reaching adulthood, to wring a few more benefits out of the Undead... The Undead certainly knew Young Master Linde was no angel, but when he gazed at the girls with those pitiful eyes, many still could not help giving him quite a few perks.
Of course, in the Undead's eyes, Linde's performance could not even compare to that of Aglaia's little Gold Dragon, Telly... He had not yet reached the point of trampling his own dignity underfoot. He could never say anything like, "Elven wine is twenty gold a glass, or thirty-five with Telly's adorable smile~"
That made his occasional pleas for mercy and acts of coyness all the more precious~
Unfortunately, once Linde confirmed that the Undead really would not do anything bad to him, and that those girls cupping their faces and smiling at him would not give him any more benefits for his supposedly "pitiful, fragile air," he rarely appeared in public anymore, let alone acted cute or shameless.
Still, Young Master Linde really was good at this routine, and his skin had already reached the minimum thickness required of a dragon.
'Xue Yunfeng' actually rather admired anyone who could keep going despite knowing full well that the tablets the Undead pointed at him would preserve his performance forever.
Their own Little Bear, Hill, could never manage that... That Song of the Little Bear
