Intelligent magical creatures, however, were different.

Their souls might not be as heavy as human souls, but they still had weight.

And so their hatred would forever linger in their bodies, even in a single nail.

How could Hill, who could sense that pain and struggle, possibly keep such things near him?

Thus, the similar items he possessed had all come from magical creatures who had sold themselves before reaching the natural end of their lives, for the sake of certain descendants.

They would no longer feel pain after death anyway, so they might as well give themselves up for their useless offspring.

Although Hill did not deliberately collect such things, he would still buy them if he happened across them.
