Lathander quickly filled Amaunator in on the fundamental rules of this world.

Amaunator stared at the shell that had been left on the ground, utterly unresponsive. "If I still can't calm down, is that over there the contingency you prepared?"

"It's already over," Lathander replied with a smile.

Then he turned and called out to Kossuth, who was still locked in combat with the Netherwater Goddess behind him. "Kossuth, we have no chance of succeeding anymore. There's no need to continue."

Shar let out a cold sneer. "You didn't really believe Kossuth could become friends with someone who didn't care even when he saw him fighting for his life, did you?

"They're both famously selfish and arrogant.

"If they didn't have at least some friendship between them... would Kossuth have been able to maintain an alliance with someone dead for so many years?

"If you truly believe Amaunator doesn't care whether Kossuth lives or dies, then you're the idiots."
