The Undead were singing their song at the tops of their voices, still clapping hands with their companions to celebrate the success of their grand chorus.
The valley brimmed with cheer.
As the song repeated over and over, Hill slowly pulled his lips into a savage smile.
He swung the Crystal Fan in his hand with force.
In a flash of inspiration, he even made use of the hurricanes already swirling between the mountains... He had no choice. His own twelve storms could only guarantee that the Undead on the Rainbow Bridge and high on the slopes would be thrown into the traps in the mountains. As for the crowd in the valley, especially the densely packed areas, one was bound to fly, pull another along, and send someone tumbling.
Hill absolutely would not let them get off easy.
Even if some managed to escape this storm... they would at least have to fall and nearly break themselves to pieces, rather than emerge unscathed!
How else could he do justice to their "rumble-rumble-rumble"?
Because he knew Earth Bears all too well, Hill had actually pictured in an instant exactly how those enormous bears would go rumbling along.
All he could say was that, in the years since he had left Telashir, the Undead must have seen plenty of Earth Bears romping about.
Otherwise, they could never have come up with such an "apt" description.
In some respects, Earth Bears were actually very much like the black-and-white bears of his former world... Their lives were not exactly free of worry, but they had virtually no natural predators capable of threatening them, so they were usually quite lazy.
Especially after the Earth Goddess's revival, the only things that could get them charging again were fun and honey.
