William's directly controlled territories were one thing, but even countries under other Gods' domains were difficult to establish a foothold in... Telashiri seemed exceptionally wary of outsiders.
No matter how sweetly outsiders spoke or how great the benefits they offered, they could not make the Telashiri accept their presence.
The key was that, for some reason, Telashiri could always tell whether a newcomer came from another country or another world.

The Gods of Telashir seemed fundamentally different from the Gods of the Multiverse in the way they thought.
They had gone beyond merely not wanting the power of faith.
They truly saw themselves as immensely powerful beings, rather than... Gods who needed to be supported by mortals.

He definitely did not see himself as an omnipotent God, nor did he intend to make his believers or subordinates think he was incomparably powerful.

The Elven Forest truly was the easiest place to enter.
