Background

William was the youngest prince of Salar, a martial-minded Great Knight whose severe fall from a horse was widely regarded as an assassination attempt amid the royal succession crisis. His father and older brothers, Edward and Charles, were competing for the throne, while William initially appeared politically marginal and was made Duke of Nolan before being sent north to establish a fief 6 7.

He had no original desire for Salar’s throne. After being attacked by Magi and receiving no protection from the old king or his brothers, William was driven from Salar. In his own territory, he constructed an enormous magic array connected to the God of Space-Time, whose core became the gem in William’s signet ring 49.

William declared himself a follower of the God of Space-Time and summoned hundreds of Undead from another time-space. His forces rapidly expanded, giving him both an unconventional army and access to professionals from multiple paths, including Mages, Knights, Priests, Swordsmen, and Sorcerers 7.

William delays campaigns when his Undead need time to grow stronger, studies the motives behind foreign delegations, and uses legal inheritance claims alongside military force to legitimize conquest 18 98 389. He also has a mischievous, shameless sense of humor, particularly when negotiating with Hill, teasing Spencer, or treating the God of Space-Time as a potential crystal miner 254 387.
