The main reason Selûne had never cared about the devastating destruction Shar caused, and could even bear it with such composure, was that the Silver Moon Maiden had never felt Shar's actions were beyond her understanding.
In Selûne's heart, Shar's behavior was merely her younger sister venting recklessly out of frustration at her own helplessness. Though hateful, it was also pitiful, so Selûne did not take it too seriously.
