Russell glanced at the commotion in the distance, then calmly turned back. "Carpenter, I think you know what matters most to us right now, don't you?"
Carpenter's smiling little face instantly fell. "I know."
She touched the Magic Book hanging at her waist and said despairingly, "My head's about to explode, Russell."
Both Russell and Carpenter knew perfectly well that their teacher would remain only until this Mage Tower was completed.
Though the two children were reluctant to see him go, neither of them had considered delaying anything.
Teacher Hill had already given them everything he could.
Just like this Mage Tower... they were supposedly building it themselves, but hadn't their teacher provided all the resources?
All they needed to worry about was building a Mage Tower that perfectly suited their own traits and needs.
For Mages, this could be called a dream come true... Coyle, who was far stronger than either of them, had been unable to even voice his envy upon hearing about it.
It was not as though he had never had such an opportunity. After all, every Mage worked toward that dream once they had sufficient ability.
However, that required years of accumulation and enough luck.
Even after giving so much, Coyle had only managed to save enough for a Mage Tower roughly comparable to Russell's original one... and that was only because he had kept all the materials Sia Tower had given him back then.
But for someone as ambitious as Coyle, there was no need at all to build that kind of Mage Tower.
It was not as if Black Enigma Tower lacked a suitable secondary tower for him to use.
As for Russell's current tower, even the materials for its first few floors were beyond Coyle's reach... to the Mages of this world,
