Shar could directly kill that great lizard of the Underdark and decisively take his subordinates for herself, but it was difficult to handle Eshowdow the same way.
That was because Eshowdow relied on his ability to divide himself into the shadows of all kinds of creatures and wreaked havoc everywhere with his Shadow Incarnation of All Things.
