By the Devils' usual nature, if their immediate superior had not been present, even the bravest and most battle-hardened Devil Duke would have fled by now.
Devils had no belief in persevering through a battle they were doomed to lose. That was far too unprofitable!
Only sufficient benefits could make them risk their lives.
And in Hell, where the hierarchy was extremely strict, their immediate superior was even more terrifying to these Dukes than the Lord of Hell.
But if they won the Archdevil's favor, even if they lost half their strength, they would not die for nothing. They would always receive sufficient rewards.
Archdevils would never make their subordinates work for free like the Abyssal Lords did. Even if their exploitation was brutal, they would at least give them a little benefit.
Perhaps because he was certain of this, William had no interest whatsoever in going to the battlefield between Demons and Devils. After all, in that kind of drawn-out war, it was already impossible for ordinary humans to survive.
The Devils would even send humans from the Lawful Evil Alignment directly to be slaughtered by Demons, allowing their souls to enter Hell's River of Souls.
Those souls already marked by Devils would be the greatest benefit they could receive after being resurrected in Hell.
Especially when the leading Devil Duke was clearly preparing to fight to the death, the Devils could not possibly leave behind a single marked soul.
Hill walked into the Stone Palace, somewhat curious. William had said they would leave through the Teleportation Array, yet he had asked Hill to come here. Could they go directly from inside the palace?
He remembered that when they had passed through the Star Gate before, William had entered without anyone noticing. Unlike Hill, who could only disguise himself
