Hill opened the auction catalog and could not help smiling faintly.
Silver Moon City was home to many Elves and Half-Elves, who had brought seeds of every kind from far and wide. Some were varieties Hill had only heard of.
Today, he finally saw them all.
Hill was certain that Alustriel was the only person in Silver Moon City who knew even a little about his origins.
But even she knew, at most, that Hill might be a powerful Mage from another world, one who had surpassed Legendary rank and could approach Toril's Origin of Magic.
Faced with someone like Hill, Alustriel would probably rather her subordinates believe he was a well-connected Half-Elf.
That made these seeds rather interesting.
The auction house clearly knew Hill was a Nature Mage. It had placed all the seeds in the first few pages.
Most Nature Mages loved collecting seeds.
But if Hill failed to notice the trap and bought only the plant seeds he lacked, whoever was behind the auction house could probably work out which forest he came from.
Hill continued leafing through the catalog without betraying anything. It seemed the auction house really did belong to the current city lord's people.
Alustriel certainly had not shared certain secrets the Goddess of Magic had told her.
Unfortunately for them, Hill had a simple solution: buy the lot.
He had never been a frugal Mage.
Then Hill came across seeds and living plants from underground.
He was definitely buying these. They genuinely interested him. When he had tried to create an underground plant cycle in Telashir, he had always found it difficult.
Once cultivated, these underground plants could easily form an ecosystem that needed no sunlight.
They were probably spoils from the Northlands' campaign to drive back a Drow invasion a few years
