Hill stepped down from the carriage and looked at the rather unusual inn before him.

Every corner of the inn had a large conical roof, and its many-windowed towers resembled an exotic castle—dark yet inviting.

Thinking back to the luxurious courtyard-style inns they had passed earlier, Hill silently acknowledged Lynn's good taste.

Hill's carriage caught the attention of the inn's owner. The handsome Mage, stern and cautious yet elegant in his movements, was shrouded in a faint aura of darkness. He glanced out the window, then came out to greet his guests.

"Good day, guests. Please come with me. Brashan Zelmer sincerely welcomes you both to the Pampered Traveler." He gave a light Mage's salute, his eyes fixed on Hill.

Hill nodded reservedly. "Good day."

Hill directly stored the carriage in his spatial ring, and a glimmer seemed to flash through Zelmer's eyes.

When Hill and Lynn sat down in the reception room, the booklet Zelmer brought for Hill to choose rooms from contained nothing but suites.

Hill casually looked through it and noticed that one of the spires on the top floor of the main building had no guests at all. There were only three suites at the top of that tower. Without hesitation, he booked all of them.

Lynn raised his brows slightly, seemingly remembering that it was still cheaper than the Jade Pot, and said nothing more.

Zelmer, who had assumed Hill would only book one room, looked at him twice in surprise before quietly asking, "Will there be another guest? Or do you simply dislike crowds?"

Hill smiled. "I'm here for the auction. I don't want to be disturbed."

Zelmer thought for a moment, then spoke gently. "I see... Shanna! Come here for a moment."
