"The Undead have already chased them out of the city," Liszt reported. "The Holy Knights of the Silver Shield charged straight after them. The Undead had a quest to protect those Holy Knights, so they had no choice but to follow."
"Why are the Undead being so obedient this time?" Hill found it strange.
"There was a tiny problem..." Liszt said in an odd tone. "Corellon broke the filter William made."
"Was it too realistic?" Hill asked in surprise. "But I remember the illusions they saw were pretty frightening too. Surely not all the Undead would be scared?"
"Plenty of them would even like that sort of thing."
"It was too exaggerated!" Liszt said. "The Undead said the zombies looked as though cartoon-style excrement was running down their bodies. The skeletons had absurdly huge eyes that sparkled, and the sight made them want to throw up."
"William apparently warned Corellon to conceal certain things, but he was too curious and put rather too much divine power into it."
Just imagining it made Hill feel a little sick. "Have they fixed it now?"
"The Space-Time Divine Artifact chased the Seraphim leader around the quest hall, smacking him on the head for ages. He finally contacted Corellon and got him to withdraw some of his divine power," Liszt said softly. "He'd wanted to listen to a few more of the Undead's witty complaints!"
"I think it was the God of Space-Time over there at the time, not William."
Hill hesitated for a few seconds, then nodded in agreement.
If the problem had been excessive realism, William would certainly have rushed to fix it. But if the cartoonish effects were so overdone that they made people sick, Hill suspected he would have let the Undead suffer a little longer.
