Hill hesitated for a moment before he understood what Lynn meant.

Toril was a terrifying mess of gods and factions. So much had happened in the Northlands over the past two years that Hill had been careful not to get dragged into any of it. He had barely paid attention to trouble elsewhere.

Lynn must have meant Sembia, on the Sea of Fallen Stars at the southeastern edge of Faerûn. It was so far away that Hill had hardly given it a thought.

Besides, he knew that no matter what the gods got up to, Toril would still exist for at least another hundred years. As for the ordinary people caught in their conflicts, Hill could not even be sure he could protect the ones around him!

He heard about such things and left it at that. There was nothing he could do but sigh.

Lynn was different. He paid close attention to anything that might affect Toril's survival.

And that incident had indeed put the whole world on guard against Selûne.

In '73, a high-ranking Wraith priestess of Shar had infiltrated Yehong City in search of a Divine Artifact called Thousand Petals of One Night. The faiths of the good gods held overwhelming sway there, and she had clashed fiercely with Selûne's church.
