By the time Purvi finished lecturing the youngster of his kind, stars had filled the sky.
Purvi summoned a Dimension Door to a world he remembered as perfect for a young whale just starting out, then nudged the little fellow out of Toril with his tail. This was no place for an innocent, foolish child.
His current body served him well, and in a sense, he had even gained a chance at immortality. Still, as Purvi sent the foolish child away, he could not help looking at the youngster's body with envy.
"Treasure everything you have!" Purvi called earnestly before the portal closed.
Then he plunged into the little square and started arguing with the Fairies who had accompanied him for so long. He had nearly sung along while lecturing the child, and he was thoroughly displeased about it.
Hill hurriedly raised the terrace with a map of the world in hand. He needed the stars to confirm whether his deduction was right.
Liszt flew beside him. "Aglaia City is northwest of here. My connection to Martha feels very distant."
Hill silently measured the stars. First, he calculated the direction of the Great Sea, at the southernmost end of Faerûn. Beyond a mountain range lay the Dragonborn Empire on the Kara-Tur Continent.
Zhide Mountain, which separated the two regions, was easy enough to locate. Apart from the far north, it was Toril's largest glacial mountain range. With Winter's Ring, Hill could readily sense the energy of its ice and snow. But he found that he was still quite far from it.
He was probably south of the Kara-Tur Continent.
Then it struck him: on this continent, only the Wa Kingdom would cooperate with Thayans.
The two got along splendidly when it came to robbery, often working together to intercept magic
