Watching Telly's departing figure as he prepared to fly away, Hill said softly, "Looks like Telly doesn't need my gift after all."
The little Gold Dragon stiffened all over, skidding through the air in a slanted curve and nearly knocking Purvi away before catching the terrace railing again. Baring his snowy-white teeth, he stretched his jaws as wide as possible. "Dear Hill, where's my gift?"
Hill turned his head to look at him, wearing a gentle smile.
Telly swiftly transformed into human form and brought Hill tea and water, even attempting to massage his back. Sigh! How had he forgotten that Hill was human and liked bringing travel gifts home for his family? Dragons did not have that habit. He had to remember next time—he could roll his eyes only after receiving the gift.
Hill could not help shaking his head with a laugh. It seemed Telly had learned quite a few amusing things from the Undead.
Hill simply handed him a box. "Take out the Inkjade Mountain inside and put it in your bedroom. This jade is rather brittle, though, so be careful not to bump it."
Telly opened the box and took one look, immediately understanding why Hill wanted him to put the nearly black-green jade in his bedroom. The aura it emitted would be greatly beneficial to his sleep!
What dragons feared was not sleeping for too long, but sleeping badly. Hill must have specially found this jade for him.
Telly happily put away the box. What did it matter if Hill was a top student? Generosity was what counted!
Could a dragon have a more perfect friend than Hill?
Telly cheerfully went to find Lynn. He felt that he could now endure Lynn's lectures for quite a long time.
He actually understood very well that settled
