Lynn sat cheerfully in Hill's study. He wanted to know the course of the war in Luskan, but he had no interest whatsoever in listening to the city guards boast, especially with a flock of chattering fairies nearby... He really had no idea what had happened during this time to make the relationship between the Elves and fairies improve by leaps and bounds, letting them take turns spinning wild tales.
If he actually believed them, the battle would have been fierce enough to count as a God War. He wanted the details of the incident, not an embellished story.
Hill asked curiously, "You didn't go to the Alchemy Hall to watch? Just tell the Space-Time Divine Artifact, and it'll put the Undead's battle footage on the big screen. I figure you can even see the battles involving the Elves and the temple armies."
Lynn said expressionlessly, "There are a lot of Undead there who didn't join the battle... the ones who like following Druids around to farm and plant trees.
Their perspective is different from mine. I can't exactly compete with them for a spot, can I?"
Hill gave Lynn a sympathetic glance. His friend had probably suffered some trauma: the Undead who had left Telashir with the main force despite having no intention of fighting even in a regional battlefield had to be people who lived for entertainment...
He could not help laughing. Then he summoned Liszt and had him tell Lynn everything that had happened these past few days.
As for himself, Hill placed the books he had recently copied onto his desk one by one. Falan had merely been affected by the Dilo Dwarves' affairs and gone straight into the laboratory. He would probably come by later to check Hill's recent studies.
