To Hill's surprise, Shar had no intention of striking back. She merely said coldly, "When a pretty little Flower Fairy deigns to show her gentle, friendly side, the Fairies are moved to tears. If you tried the same thing, everyone under you would probably run away, wouldn't they?

"At least when I speak, no one dares sneak off!"

Hill blinked. He couldn't quite understand how these sisters dealt with each other.

If Selûne had used that deliberately provocative tone on him, Hill would have lost his temper. Shar, though, had answered with words alone.

Had Selûne not been trying to start a fight at all? Had she merely been inviting a war of words?

Was this what came of being sisters for hundreds of thousands of years?

Hill didn't understand. He was shaken to his core, but he could only keep his expression steady and sip his Elven Wine. He needed the cool fruit wine to settle his tangled emotions.

Selûne said dismissively, "I don't need followers who spend every day wanting me dead."

"So followers who betray you are fine?" Shar gave a cold laugh. "Followers of the Dark Night at least know betrayal means certain death. Followers of the Silver Moon dared make off with your Divine Artifacts!

"Though I can't blame Leira. She probably never imagined she'd become a god in an instant, or that Selûne would end up as her Selûne."

So the goddess of illusion and lies, Leira, had once served Selûne? Had she been a Demigod sent to govern Selûne Planet?

Then, when the Moon Maiden's divine power had plummeted and she had lost her domains, Leira had seized the domains connected to mist and illusion. She had probably even used the Divine Artifacts Selûne had entrusted to her to govern those very domains.
