That was the Harpers' creed. They represented the forces of good, working forever in the shadows and vanishing into the crowd as soon as a task was done. Their methods varied, but one simple fact was enough to earn them some trust from the people of Toril: only those who were not of Evil Alignment could become Harpers.

So although these Harpers had exposed identities they had kept hidden for years, along with a few private details they would rather not have shared, they readily agreed when a fellow Harper asked them to help the refugees.

Ivar Gremes's warm smile fooled the Harpers at first, miserable as they were about having revealed themselves... They did not blame the bard for failing to stop them from entering the Refugee Camp.

That was hardly something the manager of a refugee town could have decided on his own.

The Harpers' battered hearts found considerable comfort in their colleague's cheerful smile... Many of them still had ambitions. They had not intended to expose their identities and retire so soon.

Unfortunately, the Undead never considered that NPCs might want privacy. There was no chance they would provide a confidential setting... Having declared who they were before tens of thousands of refugees, the Harpers could only work openly from now on.

Then their shared convictions drew them in... According to Ivar Gremes, the Terrasil Elves had done everything they could. They had not only ensured the refugees' survival but also given them excellent homes... Even the followers of Amaunator who had come to rescue them had provided no more than a large communal room where several hundred people could shelter from the wind and rain.

Yet that was already somewhere
