William couldn't bring anyone or tell the Temple of Light. There was a whole list of things he couldn't do, or the Dark Child would kill the hostage on the spot.

William, as an outstanding Legendary Boss, was undeniably strong. He was confident he could crush plenty of opponents at his level.

But caution was his way, composure was in his nature, and thinking before he acted was the key to his survival.

So, as a cautious hero, he decided to take care of a few things before going to the rescue.

Besides Eastsea City, he needed to make another round through Greenlight City, Beast-Taming City, and the Five Cities of Sandsea to raise his reputation.

That would take roughly seven or eight days.

During that time, he also needed to squeeze out every bit of experience he could and try to level up. If the Great Demon King caught him off guard and tied him to a cross too, that would be rotten luck!

Then, naturally, he had to get some scrolls from Moxis to use against Dark Creatures and pick up some Holy Water from the Temple of Light.

He didn't need much.

A few dozen scrolls and a few tons of Holy Water would do.
