Chapter 561: War of the Mercenaries
William's negotiations with the Sunset, Pacification, and Frost Empires went on for three full hours.
Then came a resounding KO!
The negotiators from all three empires lost in the ring at the same time.
Only after William strode away with his head held high did they stare at one another in bewilderment. It was as though something had blinded them and made them agree to so many terms against their better judgment.
"But even though I agreed to all those terms, why do I still feel like the Dawn City Lord is a good man?" The Frost diplomat shook his head, trying to drive that face from his mind. The feeling unsettled him.
"Wait, you feel that way too? I also thought every demand the Dawn City Lord made was reasonable. I couldn't find a single reason to refuse."
The Sunset Empire's diplomat twitched his mouth. "Ahem. I'm starting to suspect he's the reincarnation of the God of Charm. I'm heading to the brothel. Anyone want to come?"
