Out of Control (Part Two)

After the examination, Si Jinyan took Chi Li back with him.

Before they left, Lu Jiu specifically reminded Chi Li, "Si Jinyan's condition has been unstable lately. His restless desire has been building up for some time, and he'll probably enter his susceptible period in the next few days."

Si Jinyan's susceptible periods had never followed any pattern in the past. He could only force himself to suppress them until he reached a certain threshold, then inject himself with a special suppressant.

After Chi Li arrived, Si Jinyan's susceptible periods gradually became more regular. Though they were still far from normal, he no longer had to endure the torment of them every moment as he once had.

Lu Jiu kindly warned him, "This time will probably be a little serious."

Chi Li nodded. He had already seen Si Jinyan at his most terrifying during a susceptible period, so he had long been prepared for this.

Back at Si Jinyan's residence, Chi Li resumed the leisurely life he had once led. This time, however, his mind was no longer as calm as before.

It was time to consider leaving.

Ever since the kidnapping incident, Chi Li had been plagued by an inexplicable unease.

In the office, Qiu Rui had just finished checking a document when his private phone rang. It was Lu Jiu again.

Recently, Lu Jiu had always used Si Jinyan's health as an excuse to call him, and Qiu Rui had no choice but to answer.

Qiu Rui's tone was calm. "What is it?"

Lu Jiu sounded rather pleased. "Are you free tonight? I want to treat you to dinner."

Qiu Rui thought Lu Jiu should be looking for the omegas surrounding him instead of clinging to an alpha like him all day. Qiu Rui was not gay, much less interested in Lu Jiu. He said coldly, "If there's nothing else, I'm hanging up."

Lu Jiu grew anxious on the other end. "Hey, wait. I was joking."

Only then did Lu Jiu get to the point. "How's Si Jinyan doing today?"

Lu Jiu called every day to ask about Si Jinyan's condition. If he called Si Jinyan himself, Si Jinyan certainly would not answer, and Lu Jiu had said that Chi Li had stopped updating him recently as well.

Qiu Rui considered it carefully before saying seriously, "I feel like the Marshal has become overly dependent on Chi Li."

Qiu Rui explained, "He never used to bring Chi Li around so often."

For someone who had followed Si Jinyan for over twenty years, Qiu Rui had never seen him be so close to anyone.

Lu Jiu fell silent for a while. It was hard to say whether this was good or bad. "I'll talk to him in a few days."

At Si Jinyan's residence, Chi Li and Si Jinyan had been nearly inseparable lately. They were either in the study or the bedroom. Si Jinyan showed no restraint, and Chi Li often ended up so exhausted that he fell asleep.

An hour later, Chi Li slowly opened his eyes. Si Jinyan seemed to have just finished and moved away from his side.

The haze in Chi Li's eyes gradually cleared. In a hoarse voice, he asked, "Is your susceptible period about to begin?"

Si Jinyan held Chi Li in his arms and gently bit at the nape of his neck. His words came out somewhat muffled. "Mm. It should be soon."

In Chi Li's eyes, Si Jinyan had a minor episode nearly every day and a major one every week. Treating Si Jinyan had become routine. His body understood and adapted to Si Jinyan better than his mind did.

That day, Si Jinyan returned early. Chi Li was reading in the study when Si Jinyan wrapped an arm around his waist, lifted him up, and carried him straight back to the bedroom.

Only after entering did Chi Li discover that the bedroom contained more things than ever before, all piled on the table beside the bed.

Chi Li picked up a tube of medicine, scarcely believing Si Jinyan had prepared it. Reading the words on it, he sounded slightly surprised. "Essential nutritional supplement for omegas during their susceptible period?"

An alpha's susceptible pheromones could often force an omega into a susceptible period. At the same time, omegas had far less stamina than alphas, while an alpha's susceptible period often lasted a week. As a result, many companion products had been introduced to the market.

Chi Li picked up another item. "Omega soothing agent, omega susceptible-period vitamins..."

Finally, Chi Li picked up a doll. A thoughtful description was printed on it: If your omega likes cute things, this product can provide excellent soothing effects...

Chi Li looked at Si Jinyan, half astonished and half unable to believe it.

Seeing this, Si Jinyan's expression changed slightly as well. It was difficult for him to explain. "I asked Yuan Ru to prepare what we'd need for the susceptible period. I didn't expect him to buy so much."

A rare look of embarrassment appeared on Si Jinyan's face.

A raised patch of scales.

Having completely entered his susceptible period, Si Jinyan was displeased by Chi Li's distraction and used a domineering method to bring him back to his senses.

Chi Li's thoughts scattered again like a kite with its string cut. When he grasped Si Jinyan's arm once more a moment later, he began to doubt himself. Had that strange sensation merely been an illusion?

Before entering his susceptible period, Si Jinyan had already expected this one to be more severely out of control than the previous times, so he had Yuan Ru prepare many things in advance.

By dawn, as Si Jinyan looked at the person before him, his desire to mark him grew stronger and stronger.

He gradually could no longer hear Chi Li's voice. Only one thought remained in his mind, like a demon whispering in his ear, clamoring for him to mark Chi Li, to possess him completely.

There was something on Chi Li more alluring to him than pheromones. It tempted and told him that they seemed destined to become one.
