Dawn had yet to break, and the outlines of the furniture remained shrouded in hazy darkness.

Chi Li had no idea how Si Jinyan did it. His previously cold fishtail could now give off heat as freely as a hand warmer.
Si Jinyan's voice was husky with sleep. "Where are you going?" Even the slightest movement from Chi Li could wake him.
Not wanting to explain, Chi Li said directly, "To the bathroom."
Si Jinyan immediately got up. "I'll go with you."
Chi Li did not bother with Si Jinyan any further and let him follow.
Whenever Chi Li occasionally got up in the middle of the night before,
