The Legendary Giants were a collective term for Regigigas, the Sacred Pillar King, and the multitype elemental giants it had created.

Due to factors such as their Abilities and Base Stats distribution, these Legendary Pokémon had very little presence in the games.

Regigigas in particular had become a laughingstock among Legendary Pokémon because of its [Slow Start] Ability, a disgrace comparable to Groudon being unable to fly.

But setting the games aside, the Regi Family held far greater influence in reality than most other Legendary Pokémon.

For example, the Dragon-type giant Xia Chen had encountered had turned Dragon Island—the world's most renowned and mysterious gathering place for Dragon-type Pokémon—into what it was merely through the Dragon-type energy it leaked while sleeping.

Logically, it was only a so-called "secondary Legendary," yet it wielded such immense influence. The only explanation was that, as Regigigas's creation, the purity of its energy was frighteningly high.
