Big-Mouth Emperor: The Advantage Is Mine

"Y-Your Majesty, look at this..."

The minister trembled as he carefully watched the Big-Mouth Emperor's expression.

The Big-Mouth Emperor's face looked worse than if he had eaten a ton of shit. He was already speechless.

What was this? Was this even the kind of destruction a carbon-based life-form could cause?

He seriously suspected that Viltrumites were not carbon-based organisms at all, but some unknown form of life.

After Jayce led Sparta and the others away from above the palace, the Big-Mouth Emperor immediately ordered the space satellites to lock onto and track them.

At first, he had been delighted.

The images transmitted by the satellites showed that Sparta and Clayton had gotten into a conflict and were actually beating each other up.

That was a good thing!

But then, he fell into despair.

With that one punch, not only had an entire mountain vanished, but everything within several kilometers had been affected.

That was not the power of a punch. It was clearly a small nuclear bomb hitting the ground. What kind of person had a punch with power comparable to a nuclear bomb?

"I'm fine."

The Big-Mouth Emperor waved a hand and forced himself to sound strong. "Our weapons can achieve that level of power too. It's nothing to worry about."

Although their technological level was not particularly advanced, they did possess weapons capable of instantly wiping out everything within several kilometers.

"But, Your Majesty, the middle-aged Viltrumite who spoke above the palace earlier still hasn't made a move."

"And... and those two Viltrumites fighting among themselves seem like they've only just come of age."

As soon as those words were spoken, the Big-Mouth Emperor completely lost it.

The corner of his mouth twitched. He wanted to curse the minister for being so tactless, but he had to admit that Jayce seemed to be the strongest among them.

The Big-Mouth Emperor raised his head and looked at the youthful faces of Sparta and Clayton on the large screen, his heart filled with despair and unwillingness.

Even Viltrumites who had only just come of age possessed such terrifying power. As for Jayce, that middle-aged Viltrumite's strength...

The Big-Mouth Emperor did not dare imagine it. The moment he did, it felt as though the sky were falling.

"Don't worry. We have even more powerful nuclear bombs."

"Even if he can withstand one, it doesn't matter. Big Mouth Star has thousands of nuclear bombs."

"I refuse to believe they can withstand thousands of nuclear bombs."

Just as the Big-Mouth Emperor felt victory was assured and everything was under his control, the minister poured several more buckets of cold water over him.

"Your Majesty, please reconsider. Even if thousands of nuclear bombs can drive back the powerful enemy, what about Big Mouth Star?"

"Must the Big-Mouthians live on a planet filled with nuclear contamination?"

"What happens afterward? Where will the Big-Mouthians go in the future?"

The smile that had just appeared on the Big-Mouth Emperor's face vanished completely.

Before: Hehe.

Now: Not hehe.

"I don't understand."

"By your reasoning, must Big Mouth Star bow its head and submit to those Viltrumites?!"

"Become their dogs? I absolutely refuse! Even if I jump from this palace and die at the hands of the Viltrumites, I will never lower my head!"

As he spoke, the Big-Mouth Emperor grew more and more agitated. He rose from his seat and shouted loudly.

"Even without nuclear bombs, I still have my army. I still have ten billion Big-Mouthian citizens."

"I refuse to believe ten billion Big-Mouthians can't stop a mere ten Viltrumites!"

"Even if there were ten billion pigs, they would still need a year and a half to kill them all."

"No matter how you look at it, it's ten billion against ten. The advantage is mine."

The minister looked at his emperor, who had become crazed and stubbornly insisted on opposing the Viltrumites, then let out a heavy sigh.

"Alas."

That sigh happened to reach the Big-Mouth Emperor's ears.

The Big-Mouth Emperor frowned and turned toward the minister with displeasure, his tone ice-cold. "What? Does my beloved minister have no confidence in his fellow countrymen?"

The minister lowered his head sorrowfully, not daring to meet the Big-Mouth Emperor's eyes.

"Your Majesty is wise."

"What?"

"I said, Your Majesty is wise!"

Only after hearing the answer he wanted did the Big-Mouth Emperor smile, as though nothing had happened.

"Then I shall take my leave."

"Go."

The minister took one deep look at his emperor, who was still secretly delighted with himself, then shuffled out with his back bent.

How could that be possible? No matter how many ants there were, how could they possibly bite an elephant to death?

Big Mouth Star was doomed!

Following the Big-Mouth Emperor's orders, mobilization began, and countless troops and weapons were deployed.

Every soldier called up wore an expression of panic and unease.

We're going to fight Viltrumites? Is this for real?

Meanwhile, atop the mountain where Sparta stood.

Sparta stood at the edge of the summit, his gaze fixed on the capital of Big Mouth Star in the distance.

Clayton, meanwhile, lay on the mountaintop, his eyes locked tightly on Sparta's back.

He knew Sparta was strong, but he simply refused to accept it.

Sparta keenly sensed someone watching him, but he did not bother looking for the source of that gaze. There was no need to think about it.

Other than Clayton, who else would stare at him like that?

What an idiot.

That was Sparta's first thought.

He had already been beaten into that state, yet he still did not know his place.

Could Clayton possibly have some masochistic tendency? The more he was beaten, the more excited and eager he became.

Other than being crazy, Sparta could not think of a second possibility.

"Beep beep—!"

The wristband on Jayce's wrist began to beep.

Everyone's attention was drawn to the sound. They all knew that an order from their superiors had arrived.

Jayce pressed the communication button on his wristband, and a Holographic Projection appeared in midair.

The projection showed a middle-aged man wearing a skintight combat suit and sitting behind a desk.

"I am Lieutenant Colonel Xx. I have received your mission report."

The lieutenant colonel interlaced his fingers, his expression blank and his voice cold.

"I will now issue the final order regarding Big Mouth Star's lack of cooperation."

"First, reduce the Big-Mouthian population by thirty percent."

"If they continue refusing to cooperate, then the Big-Mouthians will have no need to exist in the universe."

"Continue the mission. Everything for the Viltrumite Empire, for the Emperor."

After he finished speaking, the Holographic Projection vanished.

Jayce turned expressionlessly toward Sparta and the others, unaffected by the lieutenant colonel's words.

"I trust you all heard the next phase of the mission."

"Reduce the Big-Mouthian population by thirty percent."

Jayce took in everyone's expressions. "There are no limits on methods or means."

After recovering for some time, Clayton struggled to his feet, a hint of excitement flashing through his eyes. "It should have been like this from the start. Why waste words on those insects?"

Jayce glanced at him without saying anything.

Some were thrilled, and some were excited. Only Sparta frowned slightly, seeming not to agree with such an order.

He accepted the principle that the weak would be beaten, but reducing the population by thirty percent seemed somewhat... extreme.

Jayce's gaze lingered on Sparta for an imperceptible instant before he continued, "Go, rookies. Complete the lieutenant colonel's order."
