It truly was lively.
Jiang Lu walked through the market. These were all ordinary spirit plants, with none of the heavenly treasures she needed. She had only come to see whether she might, like the protagonists in novels, stumble upon a hidden bargain.
And sure enough, she really did find a little something.
Jiang Lu stopped and bent down, pointing at the small pile of unremarkable seeds. She looked up at the stall owner behind the stand, her voice light and calm. "Boss, how much are these seeds?"
The vendor had been leaning against a wooden chair in boredom, dozing off. Every other stall along the street was bustling, yet few people stopped at his, and it had been deserted for most of the day.
Hearing someone inquire so suddenly, he instantly perked up and practically sprang out of his chair in one smooth roll, his eyes brimming with delight.
A sale! He was finally going to make a sale today!
He hurriedly looked at the goods Jiang Lu had indicated. They were that pile of multicolored seeds no one wanted. He immediately rubbed his rough palms together, his attitude exceptionally enthusiastic as he lowered his voice and gave an earnest quote. "Fellow cultivator, you have a good eye! This whole pile is one hundred Low-Grade Spirit Stones."
As he spoke, he turned and pointed at another pile of ordinary spirit seeds beside it, whose quality was somewhat better. "These here are of finer quality, two hundred Low-Grade Spirit Stones per pile. If you like them all, this old man will give you a discount. Taking the lot would be the best bargain."
Jiang Lu listened quietly to the quote, comparing and weighing it in her heart.
This price was fairly standard in an ordinary market, not outrageously inflated.
