Leaving Ta Lo

The afterglow of the sparring and exchange had yet to fully fade when everyone, led by the village chief, returned to the ancient, spacious council hall. After a brief rest, Zheng Xian rose and expressed his intention to leave.

"Village Chief, Lin Hai, and you young people." Zheng Xian's voice was steady and clear. "My trip here had two main purposes. The village chief stroked his beard and nodded. "Director Zheng, I know how busy you are with official duties. The fact that you can make time for this trip every year is already no easy feat. If not for meeting young friend Lin, I imagine you would have left long ago this time."
