Passing through the silent corridors, the group arrived at Mage Hamil's courtyard within Kamar-Taj.
The courtyard was not large, but it was arranged with exceptional elegance. Several cold-resistant pines and cypresses stood lush and straight, while the corners were dotted with strange flowers and plants whose names they did not know, yet which bloomed stubbornly.
A simple yet stately wooden table and several matching wooden chairs stood in the courtyard. Beside them was a small bronze incense burner, from which a wisp of curling fragrance rose.
"Please, sit." Mage Hamil gestured for the four of them to take their seats, then skillfully began brewing tea. His movements were neither hurried nor slow, carrying an indescribable rhythm.
As the tea filled the cups, it released a refreshing fragrance. Mage Hamil pushed the cups before them and casually began chatting with the young people.
Lin Hai and the others were soon drawn in by Mage Hamil's vast knowledge and profound insights. Gwen occasionally raised questions about the precise control of magical energy; Harry was interested in how Kamar-Taj managed its relationship with the mundane world; Peter, meanwhile, wildly asked whether there was magic that could help him finish his papers quickly.
While joining the conversation, Lin Hai silently sensed the recovery of the energy within his body.
After a little over half an hour, Lin Hai set down his teacup and expressed his intention to leave.
"Mage Hamil," Lin Hai said sincerely, "I feel much better now. Next, I plan to make a trip to Missouri to replenish my energy. I used up quite a lot this time."
